One of my favorite series of scenes was when Hermione finally figured out how that horrible Rita Skeeter was getting all her information. Due to this, he must compete against students who are older and wiser than him.
Families can talk about the popularity of the series. So, there you have it - my view on the Harry Potter series. The Prisoner of Azkaban — ditto one word that sums up odd pages.
She also does an excellent job in leaving her audience with enough suspense for them to want to continue onto the next book.
Below is the list of things every first year attending Hogwarts must bring just for some extra information. On what I was missing out on, however, was never actually specified. Some may consider this to be a positive to the series, but I personally do not, as I cannot recall the details of each installment.
Harry and Ron are both placed in Griffindor to the delight of the other Weasley children currently attending Hogwarts. There were themes of love, revenge, friendship, betrayal, trust, disillusionment, competition, grief, guilt, happiness, faith, and so much more.
The other houses are Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. He also gives Harry the letter he had been hoping for for weeks it includes a letter to say that Harry will be attending Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and Wizardry and a list of essentials for his year ahead.
I feel Rowling has such a great way in adding snippets here and there, and then wrapping them up nicely at the end. Harry is taken to live with his nasty relatives -- muggles, or non-wizards -- who hide the truth about his parents.
For kids who missed the hype and excitement surrounding each book and film adaptation that came out, why do you think the series has been so popular? Despite all of the negatives I have undoubtedly highlighted, there were positives.
May I just mention that the only reference to the actual Harry Potter in the 20 or so pages of the chapter is in the last sentence. This book is considered a fantasy because of its magical elements, but it draws all kinds of fans -- many who have never read fantasy books before.
Was this a book of my choosing or one for review? It was pure delight under the midst of horror when she captured that bug toward the end.
The description given to Mad-Eye Moody — "it [his face] looked as though it had been carved out of weathered wood by someone who had only the vaguest idea of what human faces should look like, and was none too skilled with a chisel" — is absolutely brilliant.
